History
For over 40 years, MAI® International GmbH has been a leading global supplier of machines for mixing, pumping and conveying materials on construction and civil engineering sites. Based on the M400 injection mixing pump, known worldwide as the "MAI pump", a wide range of products was gradually developed. In the early 1990s, MAI® launched the first mortar mixing pump equipped with a programmable logic controller. Since 2003, more and more MAI®CODUR components have been used in the various products, which greatly simplifies the cleaning and maintenance of the machines. From the mid-2010s, the focus was increasingly placed on products for special applications with complex control technology. The product lines for the production of porous lightweight concrete (foam concrete) and for 3D concrete printing, in which the linking of different units, integration into other systems and cloud-based data recording play a key role, were gradually developed.
Our technical developments have also been repeatedly honored with various awards.
Mission
MAI® works continuously to offer its customers a perfect service with an efficient organization. The ISO 9001 management system, introduced in 2001 and designed to be process-oriented from the beginning, supports MAI® in implementing simple and fast processes and ensuring cross-departmental cooperation. More than 30 years ago, the company began developing an ERP system specially adapted to the needs of MAI®, which enabled it to digitize key business processes at a time when most companies were still working purely on paper. Production and shipping have also been paperless since 2022. The MAI®iCONNECT remote maintenance system, which is included with the foam concrete and 3D products and offered as an option for many other machines, also helps MAI® service technicians to support customers at a great distance quickly and cost-effectively.
MAI®'s aim is to always be at the forefront of the development of machines for new, relevant technologies. This is why our highly qualified R&D team works closely with research institutes and material manufacturers. The combination of long-standing, experienced and young, motivated employees contributes significantly to our success.
