The MAI®3DCP PRINTHEAD offers unparalleled print quality for 2K materials and complete monitoring of all important parameters. Thanks to the delay-free control of the accelerator dosing, the material can be immediately adapted to the respective requirements of the structure to be printed.

The dosing station for the liquid accelerator with a volume of 30 l included in the scope of delivery has an integrated agitator that prevents the liquid from segregating.

Technical advantages

The pulsation-free addition of the liquid accelerator minimizes the risk of clogging of the accelerator inlet and ensures completely homogeneous mixing into the printing material. The patented design of the injection nozzle in combination with the variable-speed high-speed mixer ensures the most homogeneous mixing and thus minimizes the consumption of liquid accelerator. Thanks to the use of MAI®CODUR, the mixing chamber is optimally protected against material build-up, allowing trouble-free printing over long periods of time.

Extensive sensor technology (temperature, pressure, accelerator flow rate, motor power) guarantees the highest possible process reliability and enables continuous monitoring of the measured values. The parameters are controlled, monitored and visualized via a mixing pump equipped with MAI®NET technology, such as the MAI®MULTIMIX-3D or the MAI®MULTICOMP-3D. The entire system can be controlled via OPC-UA using the MAI®iCONNECT "external control" function and thus easily integrated into a 3D printing system.
