MAI®iCONNECT & iTEC
Key Technologies of MAI®
Comprehensive connectivity for products of the MAI®NET range beyond the boundaries of the individual system
The MAI®iCONNECT option can be ordered with any mixing pump in the MAI®NET range and is included as standard with the 3D versions. It provides network access to the machine's control system and all connected MAI®NET devices via LAN, WiFi or 4G/LTE.
When connected to the Internet, the system also automatically connects to MAI®iCONNECT VPN solution.
Applications for these options include:
MAI®iCONNECT
Mirroring the machine's touchscreen on a mobile device makes it easier to monitor the machine status and adjust settings on site.
MAI®iCONNECT VPN & Client Option
This solution allows the machine's touchscreen to be mirrored in order to change settings remotely or to support the operator on site in the event of problems. Software updates can be installed by MAI® without the customer having to send in the machine or pay for a visit of a service technician (updates may be subject to a charge).
For customers with a larger fleet of MAI®NET machines, the MAI®iCONNECT VPN Client option is available, allowing the customer's service technicians to remotely access the machine displays to support operators without further intervention from MAI®.
MAI®iCONNECT iTEC Server – easy central data recording
The MAI®iTEC Server offers a central data collection solution for MAI®NET systems. If the machine is connected to the internet, it continuously sends data to the cloud server during operation. The data can be retrieved via a simple web-based interface. This solution is particularly suitable for complex systems such as foam concrete production, but also for other applications where centralized data acquisition from multiple machines is required.
MAI®iCONNECT Interface – for integrating MAI®NET into your system
The MAI®iCONNECT interface is an OPC-UA server that enables external systems to set the operating parameters of a MAI®NET machine and the connected slave units and thus to control the machine externally. In addition, all sensor data can be read out. The modern protocol allows seamless integration. There is no need to manage complex register numbers or alike - the OPC-UA tags are largely self-explanatory. The device status can also be easily monitored via OPC-UA alarms. Our partner Vertico, among others, uses these functions to fully integrate our devices into its 3D concrete printing system.
